Severstal to launch 70,000-tn ball mill in Cherepovets in Oct–Dec
MOSCOW, May 20 (PRIME) -- Russian steelmaker Severstal plans to launch a third 850 million ruble ball-rolling mill at its Cherepovets Steel Mill with a capacity of 70,000 tonnes of grinding balls per year in October–December, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
“We see high demand for steel grinding mills with diameters from 60 to 100 millimeters on the construction and mining markets,” the company said quoting Yevgeny Vinogradov, CEO of Severstal Russian Steel.
“The new facility will allow us to cover the demand. Production capacity of the third ball-rolling mill will stand at 70,000 tonnes of grinding balls per year.”
